Now the main task is to ride with all the children’s belongings to their parents in another city and around the city on business. In the near future, when the wife comes out of the decree, she will go to work in the office every day. In all respects, the Nissan Tiida 1.6 automatic came up to us. A neighbor had such a car and we were able to get to know her car well. She suited us all, but she was very dull. But since it was a temporary option, then we decided to take it. The bus was put up for sale at a price higher than the market price. But surprisingly, within a month there was a buyer who took it as agreed. On hand, we received an amount that exceeded all the costs of the H200, including the purchase and repairs. Consider that for almost 4 years we rode for free. there was a lot, so we didn’t choose anything specific, but just watched. Well, here we are sitting like this in the evening, again looking at the ads on the Internet. And the wife says, like: “What else happens for this money? Do the French have a car of this class?” Well, I immediately began to tell that there is C4 Picasso, but it is larger, it does not have normal gasoline engines and there is an AL4 automatic machine. Yes, and when viewing ads, it was found that they do not fit into the budget. Then the wife asked about Renault. She already had Kangu, which she liked very much. We looked at the new Kangoo, I was not impressed, there are no automatic machines, bad 1.5Dci diesel engines. And then something clicked in me, I remembered that Renault had some kind of pretentious model, but I could not remember what it was called. I looked at the list of models and came across Avantime. Looked ads and here it is! One ad per country. They began to look, find out the details, both of us liked the car. What kind of car? Renault Avantime 2002. Nickname – Unicorn. Three-door minivan-coupe based on Espace 3. Unique design, there are no other cars with such a body. Everything above the doors is aluminum, everything below is plastic. Huge doors with complex opening kinematics. Futuristic front fascia, good seating, very spacious interior. Side glass without frames, which can be lowered entirely from the A-pillar to the C-pillar! A good trunk for 7 bags of potatoes, 5 R16 wheels stood upright and there was still room. The seats recline, and you get a flat floor with a large
underground. The car was produced for only 2 years from the end of 2001 to the beginning of 2003. Only 8500 cars were produced. As far as I know, there is only one such car in Ukraine! Comfort The car was bought 1450 km from home. During the haul, there was time to evaluate driving performance and comfort. Surprisingly, the car turned out to be quiet. I did not expect this from a car with frameless windows and such a glass area. Up to 100 km / h on normal asphalt there is no noise at all, then aerodynamic noise begins to increase sharply and by 150 km / h it becomes noisy. The suspension after the Citroen XM seemed furious. The very first speed bump, whom I passed out of habit at 60 km / h, hit hard in the ass and rumbled the chassis. On the track in bad sections, I had to slow down to 100 km / h, otherwise bumps and longitudinal waves led to breakdowns of the suspension. However, if you drive moderately and on normal roads, then small bumps are not felt at all, the car creeps along the asphalt, it goes very smoothly without vibrations and noise. The handling of the car is like that of a minivan on a sports suspension. At high speed it is not very controlled, it is well controlled in the city. The seats are soft and comfortable, the landing is not bad, I don’t really like it, but my wife is delighted. Controls are very soft, smooth with little effort, gearshift with short strokes, but not very clear. The materials are of very high quality, nothing to complain about. What I did not like. Devices in the middle of the panel. I really don’t like it. This is uninformative, makes you distract from the road. Everyone who sits in the cabin sees all the indicators and begins to discuss them. Electronic gas pedal. Well, how is it possible!? From pressing the pedal to the increase in speed, it takes about half a second, until the moment when the speed reaches the set one and a half seconds! Even now, having wound about 2000 km, I still stall and peregazovyvaet on switching. You need to chip the car just for the sake of removing this jamb. Although the wife does not seem to notice any shortcomings and drives normally, not even
understands what I mean. From the repair on a 10 year old car, it was necessary to change the power steering pressure sensor. Old sweat. Price 300 UAH. I drive a Citroen XM every day, and this car is usually on the weekends. The car did not throw any surprises, starts and drives. Of the breakdowns was an incident last year. There was a floating leak of electricity, the battery landed in 2-3 days. Found on the service on the third attempt. Something has died in the mirror folding blocks. Because I never fold mirrors, then the blocks were simply turned off and did not cause any more inconvenience. Well, according to the mileage, it’s still clear that this doesn’t happen 60 thousand in 12 years, in reality the car has a mileage of at least 150-200 thousand km, but I don’t experience any inconvenience from this. With the windows fully open, we drove 3-4 times all the time, the rear passengers are blowing strongly. But it is very impressive to ride along mountain serpentines. But the speed is up to 40 km / h. Daily enjoying the ride on the Citroen XM, the Avantime suspension very soon ceased to suit me at all. I decided to change all shock absorbers to Koni. I won’t say that it helped much, the car still rides like a typical MacPherson spring car with a rear beam, but at least the handling has become better and the comfort has increased a little. The old shock absorbers were somehow killed and because of this, the suspension pierced. Avantime is a car for good smooth roads. Those who usually drive in budget foreign cars admire the ride and smoothness, but my bar is already much higher and I am not delighted. No problems with the engine

Now I will change the term, not the mileage. The power of the engine for this machine is sufficient, even a bit too much for my wife. The car runs best on 98 gasoline, with the transition to Russia it became affordable. With such runs, feeding a 98m car is not at all burdensome. Consumption purely in the city is not more than 12, in the combined cycle about 9-9.5, a clean highway is about 8 liters. In the cabin, I’m still not used to the central arrangement of instruments, I think that this is nonsense. Although it makes an impression on passengers. During operation, you begin to notice that the car was not fully developed by engineers. You can see it in the little things. For example, rear passengers cannot reach the door handle. If they are not released, they themselves may not get out. Here and there you can see that a part from another model was used, and it does not quite fit. These are, for example, windshield seals – a little shorter than they should; windshield washer reservoir – normally nothing can be poured into it; regular standard steering wheel; standard for Renault buttons that do not quite fit in design; well, and all sorts of other little things that only the owner notices after long-term operation. Healthy doors do not bring problems. You can get out of the car even in very tight parking. It is certainly inconvenient to get into the back seat, but the car is a coupe, there is no other way in a coupe. Generally

The reason for the sale is the same as when selling the Citroen XM – there is no time to deal with a wonderful car. Not a minute of free time, and the car requires care. My wife, of course, would not do anything with the car herself, and I could not afford to kill SUCH a car. In addition, dramatically changed conditions on the roads required a car with automatic transmission. Of the good that was: The car skated perfectly for three years. It steered and rode well, did not cause any inconvenience, looked great against the background of modern creditomes, my wife really liked the car. The windows were fully opened 3-4 times in all this time. Pearl machine is always provocatively, the engine has not eaten a drop of oil. Breakdowns: For all the time they changed – Suspension for Koni Special (they wanted to), rear beam silents, anchor and brushes in the generator, a blind branch of the cooling system burst (filled with new coolant), clutch master cylinder and everything.
